AI Outbound Calling
Fact Checked
All pricing verified against vendor documentation
Updated
Ranked #6 · Autonomous AI agent
Best-in-class voice quality with the most predictable tier pricing — but low concurrency for campaigns.
Our Verdict
ElevenLabs publishes a complete tier table from a free plan up to $990/mo, and $0.080/min is easy to reason about. Voice quality is the category benchmark. The problem for outbound specifically is concurrency: even the $990/mo Business tier allows only 40 concurrent calls, and exceeding your limit triggers burst pricing at double rate. For a serious outbound campaign that ceiling arrives fast.
Best for: Teams where voice realism matters more than raw dialing concurrency.

- Title: Honest notes before you waste a week like I did Conclusion: Honestly just test all three on your own traffic, my results won't be yours.
- solid writeup. the variance point is the one people refuse to internalize. "fast on average" is meaningless when 1 in 10 turns spikes and the caller talks over the bot.
- deepgram aura is decent, worth adding. not the fastest but the ecosystem is nice if you're already using their STT. one less vendor
- honestly Murf surprised me too. had the exact same “isn’t that a voiceover thing” reaction and almost didn’t test it. the latency consistency is the real story, mine sat in a tight band under concurrency where elevenlabs was all over the place. the published ~130ms thing roughly held up and the latency stayed in a pretty tight band when I ran it myself, which I did NOT expect because published numbers are usually fantasy. test your own utterances obviously but it earned a spot on my shortlist fast.

- elevenlabs is solid for voice quality but its just the voice layer, most people pair it with vapi or retell ai which handle the actual telephony and conversation flow for a complete solution. vapi is probably the most popular right now for inbound call handling which is what home services needs most. home services is a great niche for this honestly, a voice agent that can book appointments at 11pm when a pipe bursts is genuinely valuable when most businesses take days to respond

View thread ↗“Elevenlabs voice agent cost is this normal”
- It is Multi lingual + V3 conversational, some of my calls are prettyy long I do have a huge array of tools / background task for the agent to do, not sure if there is ways to reduce the cost of it though. I don't use VAPI - I use telnyx and the new elevenlabs agent directly.
- You are saving some of the upmark and overhead that VAPI impose on us, unless you need VAPI for the flexibility and not be locked into an ecosystem // want to use other voice system then going straight to eleven + Twilio / Telnyx is technically cheaper than using VAPI + Elevenlabs anyway.
- That credit burn rate is pretty normal with ElevenLabs unfortunately; ~400 credits/call means your 60k plan gets you maybe 150 calls. One busy week and you're done. If cost is the main pain point, check out MediaSFU ( https://mediasfu.com/widgets ). Same kind of setup; script tag, drop-in widgets, AI voice agents, but tier-based pricing instead of per-minute. Most people running real volume see 20–50x lower costs vs ElevenLabs/VAPI.
